Balancing Academic Integrity and AI Skills
If you work in higher education, you likely can’t escape questions about AI: How should students use AI? What happens to students when they offload critical thinking and creativity to a machine? For that matter, what happens to your institution? Fully integrating AI in higher education will require more of a cultural shift than a technical one. This webinar tackles that challenge: transitioning from a reactive, policing-based approach to a proactive strategy that balances AI workforce readiness with the preservation of original thought. You’ll hear insights from experts who have helped schools transition from skepticism to a learning-first AI strategy. Highlights include: How higher ed’s approach to AI has evolved in recent years and continues to do so. What responsible AI use looks like and how higher ed leaders can foster it. Features and capabilities institutions should look for in an AI detector. Register here.

The Library of the Future
By the time they reach campus, many of today’s college students have already experienced different learning modalities, engaging in course materials that span from traditional textbooks, to audiobooks, to recorded videos. In large part due to growing up alongside the rapid expansion of the internet, this shift in students’ behaviors are prompting modern college libraries to evolve and better meet their expectations. For most campus librarians, this means becoming digital curators — a trend that will become the norm as open-educational resources grow, digital literacy becomes more essential, and artificial intelligence spurs new ways to interact with data, books, and academic materials. Join us for this virtual forum to discover what the campus library of the future looks like. We’ll seek to answer questions like: How will this role of digital curator develop and evolve? What will the library look like as more and more content goes digital? How will greater demand for video and audio media transform libraries as institutions? Register here.

Student Well Being and the Path to Flourishing
Higher education is at a crossroads. Financial pressures, shifting student and faculty demographics, questions about value and relevance, and rising mental health needs are challenging institutions’ ability to create environments where students can truly thrive. But what does it mean for students to not just cope—but to flourish? And how can the research on flourishing inform student success efforts today and in the future? This virtual event draws on research on youth and young adult well-being, including insights from the Global Flourishing Study and the Academic Flourishing Initiative, to explore how institutions can better understand and support the full spectrum of student experiences. Hear from leading researchers as they translate these findings into actionable strategies that can impact student success today and for the future. Register here Can't attend the event? You should still register—all registrants will receive a recording of the event and a copy of the presentation slides.

Innovating the Student Experience
With lingering public skepticism about the value of college and mounting enrollment challenges, higher education faces an urgent need to innovate — to bridge the gap between student expectations and the student experience. Most colleges offer a choice between traditional in-person learning and online programs, yet today’s students expect a seamless blend of both. Institutions offer a range of student-support services, including academic coaching, mental-health support, and career counseling. Yet on-demand services in retail and entertainment have raised students’ expectations for college services to be immediate, seamless, and personalized. Learn how your institution can rethink student-engagement practices to meet a new generation of learners on Thursday, May 28, at 2 p.m. ET. In this virtual forum, get expert insights on how leaders and decision makers can: Bring together teams across campus to create a holistic view of what students want. Use technologies like generative AI to curate and personalize student services. Inspire change and break down traditional silos to meet the future head-on. Register here.

Improving Student ROI and Economic Mobility
The pressure on higher education to prove its worth has never been greater. For community colleges and other broad-access institutions that center on economic mobility, the stakes are especially high. But with public skepticism rising and only a fraction of non-degree credentials delivering real wage gains, that promise is harder to keep — and harder to communicate. Join The Chronicle of Higher Education on Tuesday, June 30, at 2 p.m. ET for a virtual forum on improving student ROI and economic mobility. A panel of college leaders and policy experts will discuss the practical and political realities of closing the gap between what colleges promise and what students experience. Register here You’ll come away with a clearer understanding of: How to define economic mobility in ways that reflect the realities of today’s diverse student populations, including adult learners, working students, first-generation students, and those from low-income backgrounds. What institutions and state systems should be tracking in the data, and where the gaps are. How community colleges balance rapid labor-market responsiveness with their broader civic mission. How college leaders can communicate institutional value to students, employers, policymakers, and the public.

The Student Swirl
The “student swirl” — a pattern of undergraduates moving among institutions before earning a degree — has been part of higher-ed conversations for more than a decade. But today’s swirl looks different. It now encompasses a far broader population: adult learners returning after years away from college, dual-enrollment students earning college credit before they finish high school, and working adults seeking short-term certificates rather than degrees. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, transfer enrollment grew 4.4 percent in the fall of 2024 alone, and the lines between “traditional” and “nontraditional” students have blurred to the point where the old categories barely hold. That puts real pressure on institutions built around a linear model. The question isn’t whether the swirl is real. It’s whether your institution is ready for it. Join us on Thursday, July 9, at 2 p.m. ET to hear from a panel of administrators representing a range of institutions on what’s actually working. Whether you’re navigating stop-outs, transfer spikes, or a growing cohort of adult learners, this forum will offer candid perspectives on adapting to a student body that no longer moves in a straight line.
