The Library of the Future

By the time they reach campus, many of today’s college students have already experienced different learning modalities, engaging in course materials that span from traditional textbooks, to audiobooks, to recorded videos.

In large part due to growing up alongside the rapid expansion of the internet, this shift in students’ behaviors are prompting modern college libraries to evolve and better meet their expectations. For most campus librarians, this means becoming digital curators — a trend that will become the norm as open-educational resources grow, digital literacy becomes more essential, and artificial intelligence spurs new ways to interact with data, books, and academic materials.

Join us for this virtual forum to discover what the campus library of the future looks like. We’ll seek to answer questions like:

  • How will this role of digital curator develop and evolve?
  • What will the library look like as more and more content goes digital?
  • How will greater demand for video and audio media transform libraries as institutions?
