YouTube Approve Button (Missing)

I'm looking to test using the YouTube Approve button, but can't get it to be shown.

I've recently checked the Special Approvers: Google Classroom Teachers setting, but it's been a few hours.

I've identified this video that is not viewable by users with Moderate restricted YouTube access permissions, but is viewable by those with Unrestricted YouTube Access. I also assume that this video will qualify as a test video.

In both cases (while testing as a student; signed into YouTube, with the moderate access permission applied) a direct link to the video lists "Video unavailable" and is not found in search results.

The intended outcome would be that one of these restricted videos could be viewed by an account configured as a Google Classroom Teacher and approved for access by students with Moderate permissions when accessed via direct URL.

I browse to the videos while signed in as an account who is an approved Google Classroom Teacher, but the button is not shown.

Should this configuration work as described?
Is there an additional setting that I need to configure to make this button be displayed?

We don't use any YouTube restrictions, so the Approve Video feature never comes into play, but here are my test results.

The Eminem video can't be watched unless the user is logged in (age restricted). My students aren't logged in when using YouTube, so they can't. (We don't use the Age Based Restriction setting at all. Domain set to Higher Education.)

The other video plays fine when not logged in.

I opened a support case.
We did not have Signed in users in your organization can only watch restricted and approved videos enabled.
We enabled it...took ~30 minutes to apply, but we now see the approve button (which is now a gray box not a blue box)

Approved vides are viewable here, but once a video is unapproved (by any approver) the entry is removed. I've asked if there is an audit log of this activity.

I hadn't really checked on the list of videos my staff have been approving so I forgot the link even existed.

My question: Is this list exportable/sortable? IAs it is (an ever-scrolling in some unexplained order) it's really a pain to try to audit.

I'd love to be able to sort by person - "xxxyyy@ourdomain.edu approved these videos...."

Support confirmed that there is no audit log, the entry (and all information) is removed.

I found this Feature Request for some organization tools.

Good luck... we've had it on for a few years and it never works. Students are able to watch all sorts of videos that are not approved.

Trying new things, learning new things...
Anyone who is an approver (most likely members of the Classroom Teachers group) has access to this page (view and X functionality)

You should give Google feedback on the use of the archaic word in the link.
