YouTube Premium- purchase page not loading

I have a staff member who wants to purchase YT Premium with her school account.... but anytime she goes to the purchases and membership page, it is blank. The page itself loads, but the purchase interface does not. YouTube is turned on for staff; what setting am I missing in the Admin console? I've checked all of the ones I can think/know of....

I thought last I heard it wasn't an option for Edu accounts.

I've been waiting for them to make it available for some time. I'd love to see it just included with Edu (paid, staff) accounts, but I'm not holding my breathe on that.

I'm fine with them not allowing individual purchases until they put in proper administrative controls and settings for it...I just hope they do that sooner rather than later.

I have YT Premium for personal use - and I always forget how terrible commercials are on YT when I happen to see a teacher user it - or when I'm logged into my Edu account.

I know they have a couple things they can do to mostly get around the ads (without being a flagrant violation of TOS) but it still seems less than ideal

Thanks. That's frustrating.

You have to turn merchant services - eg Google Pay services. It needs a payment service to process the payment. It you have that turned off, it will break any purchases. I experienced this when we purchased some domains with Google services, that's kindly being cut off by Google 😡

The exact service is found under "Additional Google Services" and named, Merchant Center. Turn that service on to enable them to purchase it
