Just wrapped up a whirlwind few days at ISTE 2025, and WOW—Google’s announcements were next‑level. Here’s what really got me excited:
Google now offers Google Vids to all Workspace for Education users, no extra cost. Teachers can craft quick explainer videos with embedded narration, visuals, and music—and students can dive right into multimedia book reports and projects. It’s seamless with Classroom and Drive—no third‑party tools required.
Over 30 AI-driven tools, powered by Gemini, now live inside Classroom. Teachers can instantly generate lesson plans, quizzes, hooks, rubrics, vocabulary lists—you name it. Pilots are already reporting massive time savings. “Gemini in Classroom saves me hours on planning… fostering a more inclusive and engaging classroom,” one educator shared.
Google isn’t rushing ahead blindly—they emphasized youth protections, admin controls via the Admin console, Vault search, usage reports, and earned the Common Sense Media Privacy Seal. And Gemini won’t use student data to train models.
I will be posting weekly updates from Google's New Resources!!!! - It's a very exciting time! Check out What's New using this link.
As AI becomes more embedded in the classroom, how are you preparing your teachers—and your systems—to lead with intentionality, equity, and innovation? What policies, professional learning, or frameworks are you putting in place to guide responsible use?
