I think there was a post about providing access to https://colab.research.google.com/ from the Google+ days.

Any advice/info on providing students access to this service?

Within my org, we provide access through a Google Group where users opt in. We typically use for staff but provide access with parental consent.

As it is now a separate service in Additional Services, you should just be able to enable it for your /Students OU. No?

We chose not to enable this service when we reviewed it the last time and I'm looking for some info on why we may have chose that path.

Update: The prior decision was from before services could be enabled by group membership, which would have created a hierarchical mess. 

We've enabled group based access for two High School clubs.
