Chrome browser new "look"?

I have two devices, an HP Probook laptop running Windows 11, and an older HP Z240 workstation running Windows 10.

Both of them report that the chrome browser is at version 118.0.5993.89 (Official Build, 64 bit).

The chrome browser running on the Windows 11 laptop has a completely new "look" to it.  All the menu options in the "3 dot" menu have changed.

How can the same version of the chrome browser look different on two different devices?

Yep - same here. Are they testing out the new look on a random subset of users?

I have the new look and I am still on Windows 10.

Does anyone have a picture of the new look?  Mine looks pretty much the same, except I do have the "Side Panel" that I can open.

It feels like items are more 'rounded' and the 3 dot panel has more options, and more icons next to the items.

Glad I found this post.  I thought it was just me.  My Apple laptop received the *new* look and features but my Windows 11 laptop and Chromebook did not even though they are all running the latest version of Chrome v118.x.

I've had two users - one teacher and one student, both on Win 11 devices - with the new look as well. I'm not sure if it's related, but both needed help with printing after the change kicked in over the weekend. We use Printerlogic to manage printing on our network. A second reboot on our network was needed to resolve. No other users reported printing issues, and I've not seen the new interface on any other devices. (We have over 800 deployed on my campus.)

I forgot to mention - no screen shot, but the carrot dropdown on the right is now more prominent and on the left. The overall feel is more flat. At first I thought it was the Chromium adware/malware or something similar, but it seemed to be standard Chrome with a new interface.
