Workspace has 4 custom fields (Asset ID, User, Location and Notes), you can't add more, but you can use these fields any way you need. You could use the Notes field as a csv field and add things like "PO:123456, Exp:01012029" and then extract this and process as needed. Any future field you add can then simply be added as a another field without breaking anything in other processes.
