This Earth Day, how might we move beyond talking about climate change and start empowering our students to solve it? In line with this month’s theme of Creativity and Sustainability, we invite you to bring AI Quests into your classroom—a free, immersive, game-based learning experience developed by Google Research in partnership with the Stanford Accelerator for Learning.
Built for Teachers, by learning experts
AI Quests is an instructor-led experience grounded in learning science. To make your Earth Day planning seamless, we provide detailed Teacher Guides and lesson plans that map directly to the AI project lifecycle—no coding required!
The Mission: Market Marshes
In our lead quest, Market Marshes, students (ages 11-14) step directly into the shoes of Google Researchers. They won’t just learn about AI; they will responsibly apply it to solve one of the world's most pressing climate challenges: Flood Forecasting.
Through this interactive journey, your students will:
- Collect and clean data to understand real-world environmental impacts.
- Train and test AI models to predict floods and protect a virtual village.
- Connect with the experts through exclusive videos from real Google Research scientists at the end of their mission.
Global Reach & Accessibility
We are on a mission to reach millions of students, and we are thrilled to announce that AI Quests is now available in 9 languages (English, Spanish, French, Malay, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Portuguese & Italian), with even more languages coming later this year!
With over 200,000 quests already completed, join a global community of educators who are opening the "black box" of AI to inspire the next generation of responsible builders and climate-conscious entrepreneurs.
