Today marks a significant milestone in our collective journey. As of March 12, 2026, the Google Educator Community (GEC) is officially transitioning to its new identity: the Global GEG (Global Google Educator Group).
This evolution is more than just a name change. It is a reflection of how our community has grown from a centralized forum into a worldwide movement of educators who lead, learn, and share in over 160 countries. By aligning with the Google Educator Group (GEG) program, we are strengthening the bridge between our local chapters and our global digital space.

Within the Global GEG, local GEGs from every corner of the map will now have their own "little homes." This dedicated space allows you to step inside and see the incredible work happening in classrooms from Tokyo to Toronto. Whether you are looking for a fresh perspective on STEM or a new way to approach digital well-being, you can now easily wander through these local hubs to get inspired by the unique projects and cultural insights of your peers around the globe.
