Spaces icon in Gmail sidebar

At some point, Google moved the icon for Spaces from the left sidebar in Gmail to the Chat flyout.  Is there any way of getting it back on the sidebar?  Clicking Settings --> Apps in Gmail --> Customize only gives Chat and Meet as options to show on the sidebar.

I'd say no, that's not possible.

They revamped the entire experience with loads of new navigation under Chat.

What you can do is disable it in Gmail, and just run Chat in it's own tab.

That's what I do, as I don't want to have to fiddle with the fly-out. 🙂
