Is anyone else having issues where some users can't access Google Doc files?

Hey - I just troubleshot one example of this and it was Grammarly that was doing it. Once we disabled the Grammarly extension there were no errors.

I just received a help ticket saying: "A browser extension is preventing Docs from opening this file. Try turning off your extensions, then reloading the page".  Are you getting the same error?

Why not turn off extensions and see if that helps?

well I guess it can be an extension, wonder why everyone isn't getting it?

Yes, that is one of the messages, I think there is at least 1 more, but that is the biggest one.  All student have the same extensions, so I don't think it is an extension.

Just like with network issues "it's always DNS", it's a safe bet when Docs struggles that "it's always Grammarly". 😁

We are just having users turn it off Grammary on Google Docs pages and that seems to work.

It's amazing how often the Grammarly extension turns out to be the culprit in various problems.
