Ask anyone to name the teacher who changed their life, and they rarely describe the lesson plan. They describe a teacher who noticed they were quiet that day or the teacher who stayed after class to talk through a hard problem. The heart of the teaching profession is about showing up each and every day, but with the many demands of teachers, this can be easier said than done.

Teachers today are planners, designers, counselors, data analysts, technology coaches, and family liaisons, often all before lunch. The work is meaningful. It is also relentless. When every minute is spoken for, the moments that matter most to students are the first to get squeezed out.
Support is what makes presence possible
We often talk about teacher wellbeing as a matter of personal resilience. Self-care matters, but it cannot solve a systems problem. Teachers do not need to be told to work smarter. They need structures and resources that actually give time back.
When teachers have the support they need, three things happen:
- They get time back. Hours once spent building lessons from scratch can go toward feedback, small-group instruction, and real conversations with students.
- They can be present. A teacher who is not scrambling for tomorrow's materials can focus on the student in front of them today.
- They can take creative risks. Trying something new, like a project with emerging technology, feels possible when the groundwork is already done.
