Participate as a distinguished panel expert in the session titled“Faculty Capacity Building for AI-Enabled Higher Education” at the 13th Deans & Directors Conference 2026, organized by NBEAC, Higher Education Commission Pakistan. The session brought together leading academicians, deans, directors, faculty members, and researchers from across the country to discuss how universities can prepare faculty for an AI-enabled future. Our discussion focused on strengthening faculty competencies, integrating Artificial Intelligence into teaching and learning, and building institutional readiness for the rapidly changing digital landscape.

I had the opportunity to share my perspectives on faculty development, innovation in higher education, and the transformative role of AI in shaping academic institutions.
AI is not only a technological shift. It is an institutional transformation opportunity. Our universities must invest in faculty capacity building, ethical AI adoption, curriculum modernization, digital infrastructure, and interdisciplinary learning to remain relevant and impactful.
