Q3 Admin Circle for School & District Leaders in CA (Digital Literacy in a Post-AI & COVID World)
The Google Admin Leadership Circle equips school and district leaders with the skills, strategies, and confidence to harness the full potential of Google Workspace in their daily leadership practices, in addition to the inclusion of relevant and applicable education technology and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). This initiative is built to empower educational leaders, not just with tools, but with the mindset and systems to drive meaningful change. Whether you are managing a campus, a district, or a specialized program, the Circle supports you in becoming a more tech-savvy, collaborative, and visionary leader. Digital literacy is essential for building future-ready schools, it empowers students and staff to think critically, use technology responsibly, and engage ethically in digital spaces. While GenAI literacy is important, it cannot replace foundational digital skills or digital citizenship, which remain critical for sustaining safe, equitable, and effective technology use in education. In a post-pandemic, AI-driven world, digital literacy is no longer a support, it is a pillar of an effective classroom or organization. During this Circle, we will explore strategies for implementing and sustaining digital literacy across school systems, focusing on how leaders can build capacity, model best practices, and embed digital fluency into everyday learning. We will also discuss how GenAI and shifts in digital engagement have reshaped what students and educators need, and how to clearly communicate the importance of digital literacy to our educational partners as a core equity and innovation priority and not just "another tech initiative." Leaders Circle - Bismarck, ND: Leveraging AI for Empowering Authentic Learning
Learn how Bismarck Public Schools (BPS) is working to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a strategic partner to facilitate truly personalized and authentic learning experiences, moving beyond the traditional "factory model" that often stifles human qualities like creativity, empathy, critical thinking, and adaptability. Through enhancing of the proven Empower[Ed] model —a personalized, competency-based education program where students progress based on mastery and engage in real-world, community-embedded projects—we are working to make personalized authentic learning available to all BPS students. This requires embedding design thinking principles (Project Design, Project Implementation, and Project Delivery) as a core method and mindset across the district, ensuring that technology serves to enhance human capabilities and relationships, not replace them. The objective is to prepare every learner and educator with an "AI-mindset" that embraces AI as a collaborator, fosters learner agency, and directly connects education to future-ready careers. We desire to equip our BPS system to collaboratively design with AI to offer personalized and authentic learning models that cultivate each student’s unique human qualities, student agency, and real-world applicability of skills. #GoogleForEducation, #EdLeadership, #AIinEducation, #FutureReady, #Innovation, #SchoolLeadership Q3 Lead Leaders Circle - Bismarck, ND: Leveraging AI for Empowering Authentic Learning Monday, October 6 · 2:30 – 3:30pm Time zone: America/Chicago Google Meet joining info Video call link: https://meet.google.com/gvc-ytvu-nkn Or dial: (US) +1 208-606-0534 PIN: 817 833 378#
