Hello! It is highly recommended that educators explore different courses about the basic concepts of AI, the Generative AI for Educators Course is a great place to start! It contains ways in which we can make a better use of the tools powered by AI.

The AI4k12.org resources are great for teaching the 5 Big Ideas that can lead any AI Integration.  Another resource that I have used to work with teachers and students is the ISTE Explorations of AI, on this website we find the Free Guides for Hands-on AI Projects, to work with students in Elementary, Secondary, Electives, and Ethics in AI.

Enjoy

Here is a link to the GenAI material I've recently posted on our public facing website for students and their families. In addition, I sent out communication to students, parents/guardians and educators directly and have posted material for educators on our internal site. Hoping there might be something you find useful here, happy to share and happy to share additional resources. This has been a LOT of work.

Thank you for your suggestions Shiela 🙂

I recently read David Robson's article in The Guardian UK about The Protege Effect using AI. In brief, this has pupils teaching the AI (in role as another pupil) about something that they have learned. I am really interested to try this out with my students but will need to figure out the practicalities of the best way to give them access while retaining some control and oversight in how the AI is used. I would love to know of any courses that might help me or others who are already trying this out. Thanks Sheila, I will certainly take a look at the Generative AI for Educators Course.

These are great resources.

Thank you a ton for sharing.

Thank you for sharing. Interesting to see how Colorado is embracing AI as we know it is going to reshape how we think of education, customization, and personalize learning. I am interested to see how additional states/districts approach AI as I know some across the country can't use products with AI yet, as they are working on determining their guidelines.

Soy educador y en México Cancún ya estoy aplicando la IA

UNESCO also just dropped their guidelines for teachers and students in regards to AI use in education. Check those out here; AI Competency Framework for Teachers and  AI Competency Framework for Students
