Lost Audio

Teachers use Chromecast to broadcast.  Recently teachers using YouTube have lost sound.  The teacher is showing a YouTube video and pauses the video to comment.  When the teacher restarts the video there is no sound.  After disconnecting from Chromecast and then reconnecting the sound will play.  There is no pattern to this problem and it happens in every classroom.  Any suggestions?

More details, please.

What settings do you have for YouTube?

What is the Workspace account set as? Primary/Secondary education or Higher Education? Is the teacher in an Over-18 OU?

Is the video played directly from YouTube, or is it embedded anywhere?

Do you have any Chrome extensions that may be relevant for YouTube?

What hardware and OS is the teacher using?

How are the two devices connected to the network?

What type of Chromecast is it?

First, thank you for the response.

Settings for YouTube--Turned on for Staff;  unrestricted access; and over 18 OU.

The Workspace account is set as Primary/Secondary education.

Is the video played directly from YouTube, or is it embedded anywhere?--both

Do you have any Chrome extensions that may be relevant for YouTube?--not to my knowledge

What hardware and OS is the teacher using?--Samsung Galaxy Chromebook with 4K screen. Chrome OS

This has happened to more than one teacher in more than one classroom.  Teachers use the Samsung and I use the Acer 714. And this just started happening about 4 weeks ago.

How are the two devices connected to the network?--staff network

What type of Chromecast is it? not sure will need to check at school tomorrow but the Chromecast is several years old.  Cast firmware is 1.56.275994
