Allowing access to YouTube Studio for student under 18

Hi all,

I'm the Google Admin for a high school (ages 15-18). We have a YouTube channel that was until recently managed by specific students, under supervision of staff members. However, due to the recent change to school accounts, my students lost their access to this functionality.

I obtained parental consent, and enabled YouTube for this student (by adding him to a security group, and allowing access from the Admin dashboard (under Apps > Additional Google services > Settings for YouTube). The student now succeeds in logging into YouTube, but when trying to manage videos for the schools' channel he gets a message that access is restricted, with a link to help article #10977326 .

Is there no way for me to allow this from his school account? (I could ask him to login from his personal GMail account, but it seems like a dirty workaround). Actually I don't see YouTube Studio anywhere in the list of apps. Just YouTube (and no option in 'settings for YouTube' that deals with Studio)

Any help will be appreciated.

You'll need to create an OU attesting that the users are over 18. Meet has been an 18+ service for a few years. Students in a GWFE domain can only access YouTube links that are posted in a Google Classroom by a teacher.
