Digital Promise’s new Digital Equity Framework—a set of principles, guidelines, and policy recommendations designed to bridge the digital divides at the state level, for K-12 systems, and for higher education. School and system leaders can use the Digital Equity Framework to establish a foundation capable of transforming teaching and learning and future-proofing their schools for the evolving technological landscape, while states can use it to expand programs to ensure all learners have the opportunity to fully participate in our digital society. You can dive deeper into the context behind the Digital Equity Framework in their white paper, A Framework for Digital Equity.  Let us know your thoughts about these resources.

Thanks for sharing this Kristal.  While the language and context is different, the broad picture reflects the work we are doing in New Zealand to develop digital equity.  The framework described is something we can relate to and bears many similarities to the approaches we have taken.  Some of the quotes are a bit scary! (eg Only 18 percent of K-12 schools (https://nces.ed.gov/pubs2021/2021017Summary.pdf) strongly agree that teachers are sufficiently trained to use technology for instruction.
