I am excited to finally join this space and looking forward to chatting with other educators. I am Greg from Affinity Learning Partnership / The de Ferrers Academy in Burton-On-Trent, UK.
I started one of the first UK 1:1 tablet programmes in 2012 and we started using Google workspace as the communication and admin backbone of our schools/Trust the year after in 2013. I've just retired from teaching Physics for 35 years, 10 of them as a middle leader (Head of Physics/Assistant science College Director) and the last 17 as a senior leader/Vice Principal in charge of curriculum, learning technologies and online safety.
For most of those 35 years I have been teaching myself and others how to effectively use EdTech in and out of the classroom to improve teaching & learning.
I currently work 2 days a week as Trust Leader for Digital Strategy across all 7 of our schools, focused on curriculum integration of EdTech, staff CPD, developing effective use of AI, Cybersecurity and digital transformation.
