Google Workspace Updates: Progress on Sharing, But Key Admin Controls Still Missing

While the recent Google Workspace update allowing Gemini Conversations to be shared via Google Drive is a positive step, it is disappointing how long it takes for specific Admin Console requests to be addressed. Two critical updates that remain overlooked are the ability to manually delete Gemini Conversations, rather than relying on fixed retention periods (30, 90, or 180 days), and the option to manage NotebookLM permissions for public sharing outside the domain.

I would cite the "retirement" of Workspace Feature Request tracking with no successor platform as a contributing factor.

Yeah, the closest we can get is to inject a request disguised as a question about another upcoming feature.

It's super annoying.

But, you can also give feedback on support articles the same way. Asking why a certain feature doesn't exist. Those articles are also read by the dev teams.

They (Google) created this problem themselves, and will have to suffer the consequences.
