GAM question

When we get some spam messages, I use GAM to remove them from teacher/staff email inboxes. I'm doing this by running the following command: gam all users delete messages query rfc822msgid:%id% doit (there's a prompt to enter the messageID).

I can see the progress as it's run, and I've seen it confirm deletion of the email. However, when I go back to the admin panel in the investigation it still shows up for some users as not deleted under a search. How can I effectively remove these emails from all users?

You might want to ask this over in the GAM group—the authors of GAM hang out there and are very helpful with figuring out any bugs/issues: https://groups.google.com/g/google-apps-manager

If you run gam again, and there is nothing to delete, then the email is gone, regardless what the Investigation Tool says.

There are always delays between databases and their tables, and the admin console may nit always read from the same table as gam is allowed to talk to.
