Force install + pin to ChromeOS taskbar no longer?

Happy New Year all! Has the ability to Force install + pin to ChromeOS taskbar now been replaced with Force install + pin to browser toolbar? We have a handful of accounts that are used for exams. For certain tests, students are allowed a word processor but NOT spell check. I had been using the TXT app to great effect for years, but recently when you sign in fresh, the font defaults to 46 point font. To have each student change that on test day is just silly so I started testing other text editors but I can't pin them to the taskbar. I guess it's down to app vs extension?

Current (Of course when I went to find the URL for this I saw this tip on the page for the app "Change font size with Ctrl-+ / Ctrl--" )

Tried talking to the TXT dev to have the app not start with 46p?

Hehe, I too didn't read all carefully enough, and now see you found a simple, yet annoying, solution to the 46p issue.

I still see pin to taskbar. I think it depends on the actual extension?

This is Fractions.

This is 1Password.

Curses! Thanks for the confirmation. So, only apps can be pinned to the Chrome OS Taskbar. Fractions is an app and 1Password is an extension. I'll try to root around for another app, but it can't hurt to reach out to the developer. I see that the txt app was last updated 11-30-2023 or 30-11-2023 to you hehe.

2023-11-30 !!! 😎
