What’s New in Google for Education? Gemini Is Becoming a Teaching Partner
Gemini in Google Classroom is giving educators new ways to support planning and instruction.
Teachers can use Gemini to:
• Outline lesson plans
• Generate quizzes and questions
• Develop compelling lesson hooks
• Identify common misconceptions
• Create real-world examples
• Design differentiated learning activities
• Develop exemplars and non-exemplars
• Generate Depth of Knowledge questions
These capabilities are also expanding into the Google Classroom mobile experience, making instructional support more accessible wherever teachers are working.
The goal should not be to remove the educator from the creative process. The greatest value comes when AI helps teachers reclaim time while their professional expertise, knowledge of students and instructional judgment remain at the center.
How are educators in your organization using AI to save time without sacrificing instructional quality?
