Session Highlights: Kreativitas Lokal

This session was hosted by Ahmad Fikri Dzulfikar, who welcomed Dadan Irsyada to discuss the intersection of local wisdom and modern technology. Together, they explored how educators can leverage Google tools to celebrate local identity while preparing students for a global future.

1. Technology as a Bridge for Culture

The core message was that technology should not replace local traditions but rather amplify them. The speakers discussed how digital tools allow students to document and preserve their local history and cultural artifacts, turning the classroom into a living museum of local creativity.

2. Visual Storytelling and Design

Dadan shared practical ways to use Google Slides and Google Drawings to move beyond simple presentations. By incorporating local motifs, patterns, and languages into their digital designs, students learn that their cultural background is a valuable asset in the modern digital workspace.

3. Empowering Educators through Community

A key takeaway was the importance of the "Local GEG" network. Ahmad and Dadan emphasized that when teachers collaborate locally, they can develop curriculum materials that are far more relevant and engaging for their specific student populations than any "off-the-shelf" global resource.

4. Problem-Solving with a Local Lens

The panel highlighted that the most impactful STEM and creative projects are those that solve community-specific challenges. Whether it is documenting local agriculture or mapping village resources, students use Google Workspace to apply high-level digital skills to the world right outside their school gates.
