Hi everyone,
I'm hoping to get some advice from this knowledgeable community regarding a strange issue I've encountered while running a gamified learning activity.
Context: For a lesson on critical thinking and social deduction, my 7th-grade class is using Among Us on their managed Chromebooks. The engagement has been fantastic, but we've hit a technical snag that is disrupting the fairness of the activity.
The Problem: One of my students is consistently assigned the imposter role in every single game we play. We've tried everything basic: restarting the Chromebook, clearing the cache, leaving and re-joining the game lobby, but their account seems "stuck" in this state. It's moved from being a funny coincidence to a real problem that unbalances the lesson.
The Setup & My Question: To create a controlled and safe environment for the lesson, we are using a specific build of the game recommended for its classroom-friendly features (no ads, all cosmetic options available to prevent students from getting distracted). We sourced it from this resource hub:

I'm starting to wonder if this specific version is the source of the bug. My question for the community is:
- Has anyone experienced app-specific bugs like this on managed Chromebooks where an app's state seems to persist incorrectly?
- Could there be a setting in the Google Admin console that might be causing this, or is it more likely an issue with this custom among us mod build?
- What's the best way to do a "hard reset" of an application's data for a single user on a Chromebook beyond just clearing the cache?
We really want to resolve this among us mod apk always imposter issue so the game is fair and educational for all students. It's a great teaching tool, but this bug is undermining the core learning objective.
Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
