Join me in congratulating one of our Circle Facilitators, @ProfDigitale !!! I'm pleased to share this amazing Gemini use-case video created by Alessandro Bencivenni, a French language and culture teacher with over 20 years of experience, currently teaching at Licei Giovanni da San Giovanni in Tuscany. A passionate advocate for educational technology, he has been a teacher trainer since 2012 and currently serves as the school’s EdTech Coordinator and Google Workspace Administrator, a role he has held for over a decade.
Alessandro’s journey with Google began in 2015 when he implemented Google Workspace at his school. Since then, he has achieved status as a Google Certified Educator (L1 & L2), Certified Trainer (2020), and Certified Innovator (VIA20 cohort). Most recently, in 2025, he further specialized in artificial intelligence, becoming a Gemini Certified Educator and one of the Italian AI+Edu Fellows. Through his YouTube channel and social media presence, Alessandro creates content that helps countless teachers unlock the potential of digital tools.
A veteran community builder, Alessandro founded "Google Workspace for Education Italia," a Facebook community that supported over 57,000 members. Today, he continues to support educators as a Facilitator for Italian users in the ELP Leader Community.
Gemini Use Case & Impact
Alessandro's school is among the first institutions selected for the "Impar-AI" pilot program, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education and Google for Education Italy. This project involves the experimental use of Gemini and NotebookLM by both teachers and students to enhance learning outcomes.
The solutions presented in the video have been positively welcomed by the school community. The innovative approach introduced has encouraged nearly 50% of the teaching staff to attend internal training courses—primarily led by Alessandro—focused on Gemini and NotebookLM. Today, these tools have become daily companions in Alessandro’s workflow, streamlining the creation of teaching materials for students, developing resources for teacher training, and managing the organizational aspects of his role as EdTech Coordinator.
