Walberto Alexis Flores Fluentes serves as a K-12 Ed Tech Coordinator in El Salvador. As an 8-year veteran in the role, Walberto shared that the proudest moment was when a group of students, for the first time, won recognition for their achievements in technology. Though each student had their own story to share, one common theme that ran through their stories was that the students saw what was possible for their future, as a result of their achievement.
It is moments like these that motivated Walberto to become an educational leader. “I believe in the value of education as an element of social transformation. My story is proof that education changes your life and the lives of those around you.” When asked about the best professional advice received, Walberto shared “Never stop learning.”
On a more personal note, Walberto loves sushi and enjoys visiting New York. His hobbies include playing video games and reading.
