Gemini for Students?

Has anyone heard what the timeline might be for Google allowing student (under 18) access to Gemini? I believe they are adding extra safeguards/features, but I'm wondering when we might expect it?

@steve Desde hace unos días ya es posible activar Gemini para estudiantes adolescentes. Échale un vistazo a esta publicación.

We've enabled Gemini App for our students, however the option to turn on Gemini Apps Activity is greyed out. Does anyone know if this is expected behavior or if there is a way to enable that option for them?

Our faculty and staff are able to toggle the option, and all users (students and employees) have Education Plus licenses.

Than your the resource. Our issue is that we can't turn it ON for student accounts. The button is greyed out for students and can't seem to find any way of enabling it in the admin dashboard.

Google Gemini is an 18+ app. (Edit: Now 13+, See reply below.)

Not sure if that rolled out to everyone yet. Plus, they haven't given us a way to identify 13+. Makes it a little harder to manage. We're K-8, so it's difficult that's the kids are on the cusp.
