Today I received a nice email about NotebookLM being included as a Core Service.
Dear Google Workspace for Education administrator,
We are writing to inform you that your Google Workspace for Education subscription now includes NotebookLM with enterprise-grade data protection, meaning it is a Core Service covered under your Google Workspace for Education Terms of Service.
Users who have Gemini Education licenses can also now access NotebookLM Plus as a Core Service.
What this means for your institution
Starting today, when you enable NotebookLM in the Admin Console, users can access these services with enterprise-grade data protection under the Google Workspace for Education Terms of Service.
Note: NotebookLM is available to users designated as 18 years and older.
What you need to do
To turn on NotebookLM for users 18 years and older, complete the following steps:
- In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Generative AI > NotebookLM.
- Go to Menu > Generative AI > NotebookLM.
Requires having the Services > Gemini app > Gemini Settings administrator privilege. - Click Service status.
- To turn a service on or off for everyone in your organization, click On for everyone or Off for everyone, and then click Save.
