As we prepare to open schools this fall, absenteeism is definitely on our minds. Check out this article published by the Harvard Graduate School of Education: Combating Chronic Absenteeism with Family Engagement.  Let's all take a minute to share what we are planning to do this school year around this issue so collectively we can increase attendance.  https://www.gse.harvard.edu/ideas/edcast/24/03/combatting-chronic-absenteeism-family-engagement

I believe infusing community and engagement into the students daily lives, outside of academics. Providing the tools to be able to track academic progress, but provide a synchronous opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to engage and build community relationships.

@tharelson  That's a fantastic vision for education! Building community and engagement beyond academics is crucial for fostering a sense of belonging and support among students. Creating a platform where students, teachers, and parents can interact and track progress synchronously would be a valuable tool for building these relationships.

It would allow for a more holistic approach to education, focusing not only on academic achievements but also on the overall well-being of the student within a supportive community. This could lead to increased student motivation, better communication between stakeholders, and a more positive school experience for everyone involved.
