Chromebook managed by...

Good afternoon all. Is anyone else enrolling new devices and instead of "chromebook managed by domain.name.here" being displayed below the login window post enrollment, it's displaying the full email address of the primary admin where the domain should be? I compared and contrasted two chromebooks and other than the message on the screen, everything was exactly the same eg model, hardware and OS. (115.0.5790.131) They're both in the admin console and ultimately that's what I care about, but I'm sure our primary admin won't when the cheeky kids start emailing him! hehe

Deprovision (replace with same model), wipe and enrol again.

It should not display anything other than the primary domain.

I agree. The only time we see that is usually when someone gets in too big of a hurry and accidentally skips the enterprise enrollment.

I have had this with several of our devices during enterprise enrollment and it's very random. It's my email that gets displayed and eventually the devices will change and show the domain correctly, with wait time and/or reboot. To my knowledge we have never had one get stuck to my email as 'Managed by' and haven't had to wipe any of them to correct it. Haven't checked if that is still happening with our summer enrolls this year.

Interesting that you just had to wait to get it to self-correct.

I can confirm I have seen the same thing as well - we have a huge fleet - 40K+ Chromebooks and it happens randomly and correct itself within a short period of time of the devices being active.

Not sure why, but since it was self correcting itself within a short period of time, I sort of went into "bigger fish to fry" mode.

We have also seen this and as mentioned by others, it will self correct itself and eventually display managed by <domain name>.
