Chrome remote Desktop help

Hi All,

Does anyone have this running successful so that you can connect to a student's chromebook to assist them. We have enabled port 3478 for UDP and TCP. 443 is already enabled

We enabled Remote desktop Additional apps for our admin accounts.

When I open a chrome book  in my admin panel and click remote desktop, it pretty much times out.

What am I missing?

Thanks everyone

Are you seeing the accept session option appear on the student's Chromebook in testing?

No I am not

Remember, someone has to click on allow, or share from the chromebook in question, otherwise you will never connect.

I just tested it out and it worked as expected.

Yes, this was where I was going with my question 👍

I don't see the allow on the student chromebook so am not sure what I am missing.

There needs to be someone signed into the Chromebook - you can't remote into the Sign in screen. Also there is likely a minimum version of ChromeOS, but I can't find it documented anywhere - make sure its up to date.

There is someone signed in. I am testing this out. Thanks for suggestion

Yup, have had it working for a while.

There're a few things that need to be allowed in the network (incoming), and it's also rarely beneficial to block all outgoing traffic. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's all documented, as I just showed it to our network people and they made it work (despite their default is also to block everything).

So I tested it at home to see what would happen and it worked. So I suspect it may have something to with client side isolation on our wireless. I will talk to some of our guys here.  Thanks all
