Hey folks. Had a couple of questions and was curious to hear other's experience with them.
1. Auto Update LTS Channel - Our latest Chromebook refresh we're noticing that some of the Chromebooks are updating to 120 instead of stopping at the 114 LTS. We are not doing ZTE, enrolling is done on site. Most of the Chromebooks are coming in with anywhere from version 90 to 105. Once we enroll them we log in and have it check for updates. The version 90 Chromebooks jump to 105 first, restart, then we update again and they go to 114. The version 105 Chromebooks go straight to 114. However..... at least 1-3 out of 30 will jump to 120. Same models, same process....
We've not seen this before. I'm wondering if when these Chromebooks are joined on the Wifi, before being enrolled, if they are downloading the updates to get to 120 when it does its initial update check after the welcome screen. Then once being enrolled sometimes failing to stop at 114 because the update is already que'd before being enrolled?
2. Powerwash & Revert - According to Google using the combination of Alt - Shift - Ctrl and R it should prompt at the welcome screen to Powerwash. If the shortcut is then pressed once more, the option will change to Powerwash & Revert. This allows you the option to Powerwash and revert the CroOS to its last known version. I've tried to do this on a few of my Chromebooks that were updated to 120. I was successfuly able to get the Powerwash & Revert to show up on two Chromebooks out of 20, and I can't figure out the reason why. These two Chromebooks were enrolled just like the others and in the same OU. Yet... for some reason I could revert them and not the others. I've tried Powerwashing the other Chromebooks first to see if this helped and I've still not had success. Anyone have any experience or success with using Powerwash & Revert or know what the special variable is that allows some to revert and not others?
Thanks for any input given in advance!
