I was asked to share this post from this particular team:

Following customer feedback, we have added the following additional functionality following our recent enhancements to third party applications
  • Admins can now disable users designated as under 18 from requesting access to apps that are unconfigured. Learn more

  • Admins can also download the "Apps Pending Review" to review offline and use the bulk upload to configure.

Thank you, but again the change isn't what we asked for, nor what is actually written in the setting.

This is what the setting looks like, inferring that the setting will manage all users, but in fact only the Under-18 have previously been allowed to request, and what we asked for was a setting to instead let Over-18 request, and another setting to deny Under-18 from requesting.

Basically, there needs to be either two settings, one for each type of user, or, better yet, a setting manageable by OU or group, as we may not even want ALL staff to be able to request access.

We want to be able to allow staff to request, and deny requests from students. Neither setting should be hardcoded. It should be up to us to decide.

Hey Kristal,

I just tried to bulk update the list using the CSV method. It looks like it was successful as the Apps now show up under Configured Apps, but the Apps Requests are still there as if waiting for review still. Its been about 5 minutes since I updated, so maybe with time they'll drop off, but figured I'd mention it.

Also, with the spreadsheet is there a way to configure the App by bulk for all orgs? I tried a few combinations of entering our Domain as the Org Unit but was unsuccessful. Just chose to configure for our Student OU for the time being.

Thanks!

Hi Brodie,

I reached out to the POC and they asked for a bit more info on part one with the bulk update:   Can you share your domain so we can understand what might be happening around bulk CSV uploads and why you still see them under App Requests?

Secondly, You are able to configure the App by bulk for all orgs.  You need to enter a row for each OU.
