I'm posting here in the hope that someone from Google for Education leadership, or another institutional admin who has faced this, can help.
PRO+ Skin Academy is a licensed Maryland career school. We were approved for Google Workspace for Education in December 2024, then downgraded to a Business account when our team discovered we needed an add-on we hadn't set up. In July 2026, we resubmitted for reinstatement under case #73132363.
Eleven weeks later, we are still waiting. The case has moved across five different Approval Team representatives, each restating the same "high volume" message with no timeline. When we ask the Approval Team to loop in Sales, we are told that is outside their scope. When we reach Sales, we are told they cannot act until Approval clears the account. Two follow-up emails over the past month, including one looping in a named Sales contact directly, have gone completely unanswered. Our own IT administrator confirmed this week that there is no self-service option to start a trial in the interim.
This is not a new eligibility question. It is a stalled reinstatement of an account Google already approved once, and it has now run more than three times past Google's own published 14-business-day approval window. In the meantime, our instructors are teaching live virtual classes without the Meet and Slides functionality built for education, and our students are the ones absorbing the disruption.
If anyone here, especially anyone with visibility into the Approval Team's internal process, can point me toward a real point of contact or a way to get this looked at, I would be very grateful. Happy to share the current case number with anyone in a position to help.
Thank you for reading this.
