As we open up this digital space, I wanted to share a quick reflection I recently posted about a trap so many of us fall into as educators and leaders: perfectionism.
Some days we crush the mountain. Other days? We just need the memory of a goldfish. We need to hit the reset button, forget the last twenty minutes of total frustration, and just keep moving.
It’s easy to feel like if everything isn’t smooth and fully figured out by noon, we’re falling behind.
But perfectionism is all fear. The next time you feel like your ideas are "all over the place," try giving yourself a new reframe: You aren’t all over the place.
You are diverging.
Divergent thinking is messy, loud, and uncomfortable. But that exact space is where actual creativity and real leadership happen.
That is what I hope this group becomes for us—a place where we can share the wins, but also drop the facade, ask the questions, and test out ideas without needing everything to be perfect first.
