As we get the New Mexico Google Educator Group up and running again, I want this newsletter to be a quick place to find updates, resources, professional learning opportunities, Google tips, and ways to connect with educators across New Mexico.

We are officially getting NMGEG back up and running!
Right now, I’m working on building out our new community space, adding resources, creating a membership space, building a website and planning future learning opportunities.
If you haven’t already, head over to Discussions, introduce yourself, and join the conversation!
🏅GOOGLE EDUCATOR SERIES
One of the first learning opportunities I’d love for us to explore together is the Google Educator Series.
Take some time to check out the site, explore the different learning opportunities, and start earning badges that interest you.

For now, our goal is simple: explore the series and earn a badge or two that interests you.
In future newsletters and events I’ll highlight different badges and learning opportunities we can explore together.

Start small and choose a tool that solves a real problem.
Google Workspace has a LOT of features. You don’t need to use all of them.
Look for one feature that can make something easier.
Each month, I’ll feature a quick Google tip or idea you can try.
🌟NM EDUCATOR SPOTLIGHT
For our first issue — hi! I’m Tina Nuñez, and I’m excited to help bring NMGEG back.
I work in Educational Technology and spend much of my time supporting educators through professional learning, Google Workspace, instructional technology, and AI. I’m a Google Certified Trainer, Coach, and Innovator, and one of my favorite parts of this work is helping educators find practical ways technology can support teaching and learning. Follow me @TechnicallyTina on most platforms.
Future issues will spotlight educators, schools, projects, and ideas from across New Mexico.
