Printing email message gives the error that it doesn't exist

Any ideas how this would happen or how to resolve it or prove that it wasn't deleted? I asked the end-user if it happens immediately or if time passes before the error and am waiting a response. The person states that they have done this frequently, they send emails for scholarships or something then print it out (for whatever reason...)  after it's been sent or responded to by the recipient .

Is it the sent message they are trying to print or the reply back to them?  Either way, providing you have Vault turned on you should be able to do a search in Google Admin based on the message sender and recipient. That should tell you everything about the message in question.  The only thing that comes to mind is that the user is deleting sent messages.

still waiting on further details from the user but they stated it started happening today and that they dont delete the emails...

I would do a vault search; it might tell you everything you need to know.  I think you may need a paid version of Google Workspace, if you do you could use the investigation tool under Reporting or Security

the end-user got back. it happened yesterday when sending from "accountA@ourdomain.tld" to "accountb@gmail.com" and the issue happened within seconds of sending the email. They sent the email, went to go print it, and were presented the error. The message is still in their sent box. They attempted to try printing the message in the sent folder several times before reaching out and each time it gives the error. I don't believe it happens to any other messages.

they apparently tried sending again today and it worked with printing, so perhaps just something lost in transmission with google servers or interface thinking it's deleted. 

so i guess it was resolved by them sending the message again today
