Check for Updates button missing

Ever since OS version 115, when we go into the settings/About page, there used to be a blue button for Check for updates.  It has now disappeared.  We have our devices set for auto update to latest Stable channel, but sometimes when chromebooks fall three versions behind, the auto update does not always happen so we have to manually update when we run into it.  You can make it appear there if you type os- in  front of the URL.  So when you you go into the About page, the URL will be chrome://settings/help.  The Check for Updates button will not be there.  If you want the button, you have to type in chrome://os-settings/help to get it.  A little more inconvenient than clicking on a button.  Has anyone also noticed this and have a fix?

It's actually not at all the same place.

Settings/About is for Chrome. chrome://settings/help

Updates for ChromeOS is at the other place. chrome://os-settings/help

Easiest way to get there is to click the system tray, bottom right. Settings cog, and then ChromeOS to the left.

Ah.  Thanks.  Now that I look at an older version OS, there used to be a link that directed you to the ChromeOS Settings that said To see if your device is up to date, go to ChromeOS Settings on that About Chrome page.  It was under the Version number.  They must have removed that on later versions.  It seems that disappeared when we got to version 115.
