Educational institutions are now required to annually review and re-confirm access to Google Additional Services for users under 18. Admins will be prompted in Admin Console to review additional Google services that are turned on in your institutions and re-confirm access to these services for users under 18.
As a reminder, the Google Workspace for Education Terms require that institutions obtain parental consent before users under 18 can access any Additional Google Service.
Admins have until March 2025 to complete this re-confirmation for additional Google services for users under 18. After March 2025, for any additional Google service that you have not re-confirmed access, users designated as under 18 can no longer use that service with their Google Workspace for Education account. Admins can re-confirm access to Additional Services after the deadline to restore access to any users designated as under 18.
We notified all Primary Admins on Sept 16th with a recent MSA notification “Subject: [Action Required] Re-confirm access to Google Additional Services for users under 18” and available to view in the Alert Center within the Admin Console.
