Event Overview Join the Global Google Educator Group (Global GEG) for "The Global Classroom: Bridging Borders with Digital Collaboration," an inspiring session dedicated to June’s theme of Global Connection. As educators, we have the unique opportunity to turn our classrooms into windows to the world. Hosted by Claudia Fisanotti with guests Chiara Zorio, Stefania Ballot, Elisabetta Nanni, and Illa Milesi, this Italian-language session explores how to move beyond geographical limits using Google Workspace, Google Earth, and Google Meet. Discover how to facilitate authentic collaborations that build empathy, cultural literacy, and digital citizenship. Walk away with a practical blueprint for connecting your students with global peers and experts, proving that in a digital world, the classroom has no borders. Note: If you don't speak Italian, make sure to use Google Meet's Translated Live Captions during the event.  Host  Claudia Fisanotti Claudia is an educator and trainer with extensive experience in educational innovation, serving as regional coordinator for digital education in Aosta Valley. She supports teachers and institutions in designing effective and inclusive learning pathways. She is also the leader of the GEG Italy group and Leader of Google’s ELP Leader Circle, actively engaged in promoting innovative and global teaching practices. Guests  Chiara Zoro Chiara has been working in schools in the Aosta Valley for around 30 years, specialising in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. She has combined this experience with her passion for IT, specialising in inclusive digital education since 2020. Inspired by Claudia’s courses, she has successfully applied App Smashing to create accessible learning environments. She is an expert in Google Workspace for Education and a Google Certified Educator Level 1, committed to using technology to foster students’ independence and active participation.  Stefania Ballot (Instagram @Stefania_ballot) Stefania is a teacher of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at a secondary school (first two years). She is a specialist in digital teaching with extensive experience in integrating new technologies into learning processes. She offers technical expertise and a passion for education to design collaborative and stimulating learning environments.  Elisabetta Nanni Elisabetta is a middle school music teacher and teacher trainer. She has long integrated music, creativity, and emerging technologies into educational pathways, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, inclusion, and active learning methodologies. An Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), Google Trainer, Google Innovator, and Delightex Guru Ambassador, she designs workshops, labs, and interdisciplinary projects for both teachers and students, promoting a critical, creative, and conscious use of digital technologies. Through the MusAIlab project, she explores new forms of learning that combine music education, immersive storytelling, AI, augmented reality, and collaborative practices.  Illa Milesi Illa has been working in the public school system in Valle d’Aosta for about 36 years. Throughout her career, she has taught English at nearly every level of education, from primary school to adult education. She has been coordinator for students with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD/DSA) in her school.Thanks to Google tools and platforms, she is able to create, manage, and share educational materials with students in a variety of formats. She strongly believes in the effective integration of technological tools in the classroom in order to guide students towards a conscious and purposeful use of technology and help them develop both digital and transferable skills they can apply it in different contexts.

Whether she’s drawing on her background as a former Teaching and Learning Coordinator for Kami, tapping into her experience and expertise as an instructional coach or leading a workshop, Mantha’s passion is sharing joyful, innovative strategies that empower educators to thrive in classrooms across the globe.
