When Support Misses the Mark

Sometimes we put support structures in place with the best intentions… but they don’t quite land the way we hoped.

A new initiative, a resource, a PD session, a check-in. On paper, it makes sense. But in practice, it doesn’t always connect to what teachers actually need in that moment.

And when that happens, it can quietly create more frustration than support.

➡️ Think about a recent support you offered or implemented.

Where might there have been a mismatch between what was provided and what teachers actually needed?

This is not about getting it right or wrong. It’s about noticing the gap.

Reply in the comments and share one example or moment. Naming it is the first step toward designing support that actually lands
