Across Indiana, educators are finding practical ways to use Google tools to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and make everyday work more manageable. Too often, those ideas stay within a single classroom, school, or district.

We’re reenergizing GEG-Indiana, our Google Educator Group, to help those connections grow.

Our goal is to build a welcoming statewide community where educators from all Indiana K–12 school districts using Google can exchange resources, learn together, and help one another solve common challenges. Whether you’re getting comfortable with Google Classroom or supporting technology across an entire district, your experience and questions belong here.

A community shaped by its members

The GEG-IN Hub gives us a place to continue conversations beyond a conference session or professional development day. We envision educators sharing useful templates, classroom examples, professional learning resources, and honest reflections about what works—and what needs another try.

As the community grows, your interests will help shape future conversations and learning opportunities. Those might include Google Workspace tips, classroom workflows, accessibility, responsible AI use, or ways to support colleagues through technology changes.

You don’t need a polished presentation to contribute. A useful resource, a thoughtful question, or a small improvement that helped your students can be valuable to someone else.

An opportunity to learn about AI together

One of our initial priorities is helping Indiana educators explore the Google AI Educator Series.

Developed by Google and ISTE+ASCD, the series offers free, self-paced learning through short sessions, with opportunities to earn badges. Topics include foundational AI understanding, teaching applications, and everyday professional tasks.

GEG-Indiana can help you find relevant resources, talk through questions, and connect with colleagues who are exploring similar ideas. If you’re interested in bringing the series to your school or district, let us know so we can discuss possible approaches and support.

Already completed sessions or earned badges? We want to connect with you, too. Share something you’ve applied, help a colleague get started, or join a conversation about what comes next. Applying an idea, reflecting on the results, and improving it together can make the learning even more valuable.

Throughout these conversations, we encourage thoughtful use that respects student privacy, professional judgment, and each district’s policies and approved tools.

Help us build what comes next

Start by introducing yourself in our welcome discussion. Tell us what you hope to learn, what you might share, and what would make this community worth returning to. Invite a colleague from your district—and someone from a neighboring district—to join the conversation.

We hope to build connections that make good ideas easier to find and meaningful support easier to reach. Your participation will help make that happen.
