Hi everyone 👋
I’m excited to share a new resource we’ve launched: Gemini Faculty Fundamentals. This video series is designed to empower educators with practical applications of Google’s AI tools, specifically Gemini and NotebookLM.
While the series is primarily aimed at Higher Education faculty, K-12 educators will also find these ideas highly usable and easy to adapt for their own classrooms. Every workflow demonstrated in the series is universal; the methods are designed so that any educator can take these frameworks and apply them directly to their own teaching needs and subject areas.
The series focuses on three main pillars:
- Live instruction demos: Modeling how to use AI as a "thought partner" to explain complex concepts or visualize data live in front of students.
- Student coursework assignments: Guiding educators on how to design assignments that move students from seeking a "speed to answer" toward iterative, grounded learning.
- Educator productivity: Showing how to automate administrative tasks and research synthesis to reclaim time for high-value instruction.
We'll be adding a new video each week throughout the first half of 2026 to provide consistent, manageable ways to integrate these tools into your weekly academic routine.
You can access the full series here: goo.gle/FacultyFundamentals.
I’d also love to hear ideas of how educators in higher ed are using Gemini and NotebookLM in their teaching to inspire future videos in the series. Please share your workflows or success stories below!
Thanks 🙂
Marcus
