From NGO Practice to AI-Supported Adult Learning: Exploring Practical Uses of Gemini

Hello everyone,

I am Caden, a psychology graduate and community programme professional from Hong Kong. My work is based in the NGO and social service sector, where I support community programmes, youth engagement, and professional development activities.

I am currently exploring how Gemini and other Generative AI tools can support adult learning and improve everyday work in NGOs and community organisations. For example, I am interested in using AI to help educators and social workers:

• organise ideas and prepare workshop materials;
• adapt learning content for different audiences;
• create accessible summaries and discussion prompts; and
• reduce routine administrative work while maintaining human judgement and safeguarding.
At the same time, I believe that responsible AI use requires careful attention to privacy, accuracy, bias, and the protection of personal information especially when working with young people and vulnerable communities.
I would be interested to learn from educators in this community:

How are you using Gemini to support adult professional learning, teacher development, or community education? Which use case has created the most practical value in your context?

I look forward to learning from your experiences and exchanging ideas.

Best wishes,
Caden Yeung

Hello Caden, thanks for sharing your thoughtful perspective. I’m particularly interested in how AI can support accessible learning materials and reduce routine administrative work while keeping human judgement and safeguarding at the centre. I look forward to learning from your experiences in the NGO sector.
