There have been many great discussions lately about how AI has supported our unique positions to allow us to spend more time in the classroom.

Please share your thoughts and stories on the following question: 

How have you been able to leverage Google Gemini in your Coaching Position?

I am using Gemini and NotebookLM to create training materials for our teachers for PD sessions! I especially love NotebookLM, and our teachers are loving it as well. They are using them for everything from grading assignments and giving feedback to students to analyzing student assignments and creating review materials based on that analysis. Teachers who have to grade large numbers of essays and reports say they have gained so much time back in their schedules with these tools, as well as insights into what materials the students understand and what they don't understand.

I am using Gemini and NotebookLM (this one is an amazing tool) to create my training materials for summer PD sessions for our teachers. I have shown the teachers how to grade assignments like essays, get feedback to give to the students, analyze the student assignments for deficiencies in student understanding, and create review materials based on that analysis. The teachers have said they have gained tremendous amounts of time in their schedules with these tools!

I have leveraged Gemini in many impressive ways. My top 3 were 1. lesson planning, 2. creating music and video to facilitate my lessons, and 3. using Gemini and Google Scripts to create custom, personalized, formative and summative assessments.

I use Gemini in lots of my coaching workflows and since the update to Gemini 3.0 in November, the image generator/nano banana can help create such great infographics and work flow diagrams.

I also created a monthly asynchronous, self-paced Google-AI blitz (Gemini and Notebook) for teachers to upscale in their knowledge about Gemini with some practical challenges. Check the playlist out here.

I mainly use Gemini as a brainstorming partner; however, it's completely changed how we are starting our coaching program this fall. My supervisor asked us to think outside of the box to try to get more teacher engagement. I told Gemini about our setting (2 coaches - 7 buildings) as well as all of the things we had tried. I asked it to give me some new ideas, which it did. But then, and the end - it basically said "none of these are going to work" and it suggested we start the year with a week residency model in each building. And now, that's how we are going to start the year! I've gone back to that same chat to help us create a wide array of resources we are going to use as part of this program. We are really exited for this new model and hope that it can jumpstart some coaching interest this fall!
