This year, we saw a surge in searches for “AI for teachers” as educators find ways to evolve. And queries like “how to show support for teachers” hit a record high.
We’re supporting teachers with AI and computer science training. Since 2023, we’ve provided more than $1.2 million in funding and training with organizations like the University of Illinois’ Discovery Partners Institute, University of Houston, CodeVA and Maryland Center for Computing Education. Our Google AI training, at no cost, can help teachers learn to use tools like Gemini.
We’re helping teachers and schools impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area with more than $3 million in funding, including Google.org’s contribution to the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, which it will use to provide more than 3,000 Chromebooks.
