Main Objectives of the Activity
To provide junior high school computer science teachers with knowledge, practical skills, and the latest insights so that they are able to effectively and engagingly integrate the concepts of coding (programming) and the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) into the computer science curriculum.
Participants: All junior high school computer science teachers.
Duration and Method
Duration: December 15-18, 2025 (08.00 – 16.00)
Method: A combination of interactive workshops, concept presentations, practical sessions (hands-on labs), group discussions, and teaching case studies.
Expected Outcomes (Output)
1. Improved Teacher Competence: Participants will be proficient in the basics of programming and able to explain fundamental AI concepts.
2. New Teaching Modules/Lesson Plans: At least one Computer Science teaching module/lesson plan will be developed, modified, and enriched with simple coding/AI material.
3. Skills in Using Tools: Participants are able to use block programming platforms (Scratch, etc.) and interactive AI tools (Teachable Machine, etc.) for learning purposes.
This training focuses not only on what to teach, but also on how to deliver the material so that coding and AI become interesting, relevant, and easy for junior high school students to understand.
