For two decades, the Certified Innovator Program has recognized educators pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the classroom. As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we are evolving the program to meet the most transformative shift of our time: the AI era.

We are thrilled to introduce the newly revamped Innovator Academy, designed specifically to identify and empower pioneers in AI + Education. This year's cohort will go beyond traditional innovation. We are seeking educators ready to harness the power of AI to solve meaningful challenges within their schools and communities.

This refreshed program is built on three bold goals:

Launching Transformative Projects: Innovators will solve real educational challenges by designing, piloting, and documenting replicable projects that leverage Google's AI tools.
Leading Responsible Innovation: We are committed to fueling brand advocacy as the clear leader in responsible AI for education, helping participants develop deep expertise in AI-driven strategy and design thinking.
Creating a Global Legacy: A major new goal for this cohort is to generate a global library of high-impact AI best practices, paving the way for the adoption of tools like Gemini in classrooms worldwide.

If you are new to the Google Education Community, a little background on the Innovator community and why you should apply is listed below.

💬 What is the Innovator Community Program? The Google for Education Certified Innovator Program recognizes and supports top educators who are excited to grow professionally, advocate for impactful technology, harness the power of AI to solve meaningful challenges, and innovate to improve classrooms, schools, and local communities in the AI era.

🏆 Who is this program for? The Innovator program is for educators who want to make a change within their Community by finding solutions.

🏫 Where are current Innovators located? We have Innovators across all major regions: NA (North America), EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), APAC (Asia Pacific), and LATAM (Latin America).

💻 How to become an Innovator? To apply, you must find an Academy in your region, obtain the Google Certified Educator Level 1, Level 2, and Gemini Certified Educator certifications, and identify a challenge to solve. Selected educators are invited to join the cohort and spend 12 months developing a high-impact innovative project.
